About Us

The Columbia Fiber Arts guild is committed to the exploration of all aspects of the fiber arts. We are knitters, weavers, spinners, felters, and crochet artists. We represent a wide range of ages and all levels of experience. Some of us are specialists; others love the thrill of continuously learning something new and different. What we all share is an interest in how we can use fiber to create items of lasting beauty and usefulness. The guild seeks to encourage fiber artists of all levels and types and to promote greater awareness of and proficiency in the fiber arts.

Meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month at the Sandhills branch of the Richland Public Library. Meetings are open to the public; everyone is welcome to attend.

Guild meetings feature fun and educational programs led by guild members. Topics include knitting, weaving, felting, dying, spinning, needlework, and other fiber arts.  Members and visitors alike are encouraged to bring their current projects to the meeting for show and tell.

Come and meet other fiber enthusiasts, learn new techniques, refine your skills, exchange ideas, and find inspiration.
